It’s 5:30 on a Wednesday evening. I am a Mom stressing out trying to figure out what to make my children for dinner. My 2 little boys JJ and Fitz are picky eaters. That means making separate meals for each kid each day. The kids are melting down and little do they know I haven’t eaten since the granola bar I grabbed before running out the door this morning. I love being a Mom but being a Mom isn’t always as easy and convenient as one might think.
I gather my thoughts think Wednesday? Hmm.. Oh yes! Wednesday’s are our pizza night! We always order from LaRosa’s on Wednesdays! I let out a sigh of relief as I realize the only effort I have to put in for dinner tonight is a few clicks through the LaRosa’s Pizzeria app and dinner is ordered. JJ likes pizza without cheese and Fitz will not eat sauce. Opposites! I know clean up will be a breeze and that I can sit down and enjoy spending time with my boys this evening.
I quickly re-order the kids customized pizzas using the My LaRosa’s Favorites tab in the app. I am taking on a new health food challenge where I eat vegan for 5 days out of the week. So I order a plant based topping pizza for myself. I am excited to try the new vegan pepperoni and sausage. They even have vegan cheese! Yay!
Jay, my spouse is working late tonight so I’ll order him a Baked Buddy Hoagy to eat for when he gets home later.
The kids and I make a picnic on the floor with blankets and relax watching a movie while we wait for our delivery. During the week things can get really busy so we always enjoy our middle of the week floor picnics. The boys look at me with glowing eyes when they see that I’ve ordered their favorite pizza from their favorite Pizzeria. “Just the way I like it, no sauce!” Fitz says. “No cheese, that’s my favorite!” JJ exclaims. They both thank me for getting their favorites and enjoy their meal. I take another sigh of relief when I see happy chewing faces. Sometimes it’s really hard to get kids to eat!
By the time the movie is over everyone is fed and calmed down. I give the boys a bath and we talk about the peak and lows of our day. We all agree that pizza night is our favorite night of the week. I read them a goodnight story and they thank me for being the “Best Mommy Ever!” and I rest easier knowing my boys have full bellies.
Sometimes as a Mom you have to find calm in the chaos. I look forward to this pizza night just as much if not more than my kids. LaRosa’s is definitely a calm to my chaos many days of the month. The fact that I grew up eating LaRosa’s myself adds another level of nostalgia to an everyday pizza night. The fact that they deliver over 40 menu items means I never get bored. They have menu items that cater to almost every diet and are always rolling out new options. Be on the lookout for their new side salads featuring hydroponic lettuce!
